Another shooting on campus shocked the society. It happened hours after the local students had celebrated a win over Alabama State's football team Saturday evening. However, it was not the only incident. In this post, the Typical Student team will tell you about 3 unexpectable shootings on US campuses.


#1 Shooting on Auburn University's Campus


It happened on September 9, 2018. The shooting was across the street from Auburn University's campus. It took the life of 1 person and wounded 4 (16-21 y.o.) others. The 20-year-old student from Tuskegee was found dead at the scene.

According to the police of southeast Alabama city, this incident doesn’t look like a random one. It was after the football victory celebration. Today, Auburn University's campus is home to nearly 30,000 students!


#2 Shooting on Jackson State University's Campus


This shooting happened March 7, 2018, at Jackson State University, Jackson, Mississippi. Luckily, there were no deaths. However, 1 college student was shot on campus. As stated by JSU officials the student was taken to a local hospital after being shot in Dixon Hall dormitory. Also, there was no threat of an active shooter on campus.


#3 Shooting on Central Michigan University’s Campus



March 2, 2018, 2 students were fatally shot on Central Michigan University’s campus. The police were looking for James E. Davis Jr., 19, who acted strangely the day before the tragedy. Also, the weapon recovered at the scene was registered to Mr. Davis’s slain father, James E. Davis Sr., a police officer. Soon the murderer was found and charged with two counts.
