30 people sustained minor injuries after the floor collapsed at a party held near Clemson University, in Clemson, South Carolina, BuzzFeed News reports. It happened on Sunday morning with the press release following after the incident. Luckily, the Clemson Police Department hasn’t reported any life-threatening injuries. Right now, the reasons for the floor collapse are being investigated. The Typical Student team learned the details.

On a Sunday morning somebody called the Clemson police saying that the floor had collapsed in the clubhouse at the Woodlands apartment complex. The call was received at about 00:30 AM. As it was later told in the official statement that the event was an annual homecoming weekend party arranged and sponsored by Kappa Alpha Psi fraternity. The party held at a private reception hall in the Clemson community was visited by both students and non-students.
How Many People Got Injured?
Shocking videos showing the very moment of the floor collapse have appeared on social media. You can hear people tumbling down with it and screaming. According to the official statement issued by Clemson University, 23 people were taken to hospital from the scene.

Their injuries were not considered life-threatening. Some partygoers arrived at the hospital using their own transportation. All in all, about 30 people got affected by the incident and went to the hospital.
