Famous actor Ashton Kutcher testified to a Los Angeles jury Wednesday that he was “freaking out” after learning that a young woman was found dead in Hollywood the day after he called at her home for a date. Kutcher testified at the ‘Hollywood Ripper’ trial. The man known as the "Hollywood Ripper" is charged with murder of Ashley Ellerin in 2001 along with two other victims. What Does Kutcher Have To Do With The 'Hollywood Ripper'?
According to the Guardian, Kutcher testified as a witness on this case. The actor claimed that he arrived at the Hollywood bungalow of fashion design student Ashley Ellerin on 22 February 2001. Before the arrival, he spoke to her on the phone to arrange a date. When he got to Ashley two hours after the call, Kutcher found the lights on and the door locked. Peering through the window he saw “what I thought was a red wine spilled on the carpet”.
Kucher thought he “screwed up” by showing up late, assuming that ed Ellerin had gone out with a friend. Next morning, the roommate found Ellerin's body. As reported by the Guardian, the girl had been stabbed 47 times. When Kutcher, now 41, learned what had happened to Ellerin, he immediately spoke with the police because he knew his fingerprints would be found on the front door of her home.
