To make a long story short, a huge college-admissions scandal uncovered by the FBI showed a scheme to get students into elite colleges. The schools mentioned in the court documents are:

  • Georgetown, Stanford, UCLA,
  • Yale, the University of Texas,
  • the University of Southern California,
  • and Wake Forest.

Among 50 people charged in connection with a college-admissions scheme, there were Hollywood actresses Felicity Huffman and Lori Loughlin. To say more, some parents even paid to correct their children's ACT and SAT tests.


According to FBI, Felicity Huffman made a "charitable contribution" of $15,000 "to participate in the college entrance exam cheating scheme on behalf of her eldest daughter."


Huffman later made arrangements to pursue the scheme a second time, for her younger daughter, before deciding not to do so." However, Huffman's husband, William H. Macy, wasn’t indicted.
