UK headteacher admits she was making explicit photographs of primary school students. Officially, the woman was on ‘sick leave’, so parents even sent her flowers to support. Who is that woman? Today, the Typical Student team will figure it out!

Who’s That Woman?

Rhian Desouza is 43-year-old woman, who used to work as headteacher of Gellionnen primary school in Swansea. Now, she’s suspended from the role. Besides, Desouza is the mother of 2 kids. Why was she suspended? Well, recently Desouza admitted she made the indecent photographs of a child. In happened in May and June 2018.

Actually, Desouza, of Llanelli, Carmarthenshire, was working as head of the Welsh-speaking school - known as Ysgol Gynradd Gymraeg Gellionnen - for more than five years! The school has almost 200 students.

How Did Parents React?

Heading the charges, parents of Ysgol Gynradd Gymraeg Gellionnen’s students said they are "stunned and disgusted". They knew nothing about the story. July 2018, Desouza was suspended. It was believed she’s off on sick leave, so parents wanted to support her with flowers.

One mother said: "We even sent her flowers on the day of the school prom because we all thought she was off ill. It is just disgusting to think what has been going on - nobody had a clue."

Although there were some letters about the investigation, parents say that it took the authorities weeks to inform them of the reasons Desouza was away.
