When Will The Landlord Law Take Effect?
As told by SaveTheStudent, the new law that comes into effect starting March 20, will be applicable “in all circumstances unless a tenancy has lasted more than seven years.”
The Homes Act: Unfitness for Living
The update to the Homes (Fitness for Human Habitation) Act indicates that if the property is "unfit for living", the landlord is breaking the law. It covers both bedrooms and any communal areas of the building. The “unfitness for living” includes any of the following:
