As you may remember, US used to be the leader of education and healthcare. However, today, it ranks 27th in the world rating. In this post, the Typical Student team is going to provide you with more details.
It looks like US investments in healthcare and education didn’t change too much. Still, according to a recent discovery made by the Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation (IHME) at the University of Washington, these points put US lower in the rates. After all, US was moved to the 27th place. Another study shows that US has a real lack of universal healthcare.
Talking about education, the situation is even more terrifying. As stated by the latest findings from the Pew Research Center, when it comes to math scores, US takes the 38 place out of 71 countries. And what about science? Here, US takes 24th place.
To sum everything up, US lost 21 points compared to 1990s.
