Hanukkah is known as the "Jewish Festival of Lights" and it commemorates the rededication of the 2nd Jewish Temple in Jerusalem, Israel. It was first celebrated in the 160s B.C. In Hebrew and Aramic languages, Hanukkah means 'dedication'. The festivities last for 8 days and start on the 25th of Kislev, the month in the Jewish calendar that occurs at about the same time as December. Because the Jewish calendar is lunar, Kislev's beginning may fluctuate in late November lasting to late December. The Typical Student team collected 11 Hanukkah memes for everyone observing this great holiday.
