6 Instagram Influencers That Went Too Far & Got Slammed For It

Instagram influencers often go to great lengths for the sake of popularity and likes. This time, however, the Typical Student team picked some resonant examples of bloggers who got shamed and slammed by their audience for insensitive and rude behavior. Do you think, they're rightfully shamed?

#1 The @AuschwitzMuseum shamed bloggers for their picture-taking habits.

Earlier this spring Auschwitz Memorial tweeted the following: "When you come to Auschwitz Museum remember you are at the site where over 1 million people were killed. Respect their memory. There are better places to learn how to walk on a balance beam than the site which symbolizes deportation of hundreds of thousands to their deaths."

#2 Instagram model @Canggu gets called out for comparing her life to rice workers.

Instagram model Natalie Schlater has a 12K following and 652 posts under her belt. However, this particular post has caused quite a stir on the web. At first glance, this looks like a typical Instagram post with a girl in a bikini standing in front of a rice farm. Still, the caption is what catches the attention: “Thinking about how different my life is from the man picking in the rice field every morning.”

Here's what people said to the weird comparison:

#3 Woman stepped all over the rare plants in the conservatory for the sake of Instagram shots in spite of the fact staff repeatedly asked her to stop.

Reddit user Rainy_Day_May, who initially uploaded the pic witnessed the whole thing: "She was asked by multiple people to stop and ignored everyone. Security eventually came and escorted her and her photographer out of the building. Both were asked to not return."

#4 Blogger gets slammed for doing yoga on The Berlin Holocaust Memorial

Like the previous example with Auschwitz, the memorial sites are meant to commemorate the war victims. Still, some Instagram influencers use places like these as photo backgrounds. This woman was slammed on the subreddit r/trashy for doing a yoga pose on a Holocaust memorial in Berlin.

#5 Instagram bloggers get called our for a dangerous kiss.

Instagrammers Kelly and Kody, known as ‘positravelty’, are traveling (and simultaneously looking for photo locations) to post images on their Insta. The picture below caused quite a stir among their followers, as it shows the pair kissing while Kelly hangs over the side of an infinity pool, with a steep cliff underneath her.

As influencers typically follow each other, pictures like this can turn into a pretty dangerous 'trend' resulting in an accident at one point.

#6 The internet user shames bloggers for inappropriate behavior in national parks.

The Instagram account Our Public Lands Hate You is shaming "irresponsible" behavior in America's national parks. Here are some of the posts one of the vigilantes has made to shame the bloggers
