If you panic over a deadline, this article will come in hand. Believe it or not, but it is possible to write an essay in three or even fewer hours. You just need to follow the instructions below. Of course, nobody guarantees it might be your best work, but it can be a passable solution.
First of all, make sure that you are working in a quiet, distraction-free zone. Being in a place where you have no interruptions will allow you to focus 100% on the essay.
Choose the topic (5 min). This is one of the most important steps defining how challenging this task might become to fulfill. Most probably you would like to skip being creative and use a tried and true topic.
Gather information (20 min). On this stage, you should search for some inspiration, investigate matter you are writing about. Divide a piece of paper into two parts. On the one part, you should write down things you already know about the chosen subject of your writing. On the other side of the paper write down things which are unfamiliar to you.
Make a quick, rough outline of your essay (20 min). Here you may use the following plan. Of course, you can always use yours if you have one, but as you are already running out of time we would suggest you our format.
Make sure you have a good idea of what you are intending to write about before you open Google Docs.
Write (1,5 hour). Consider your goal just to write something semi-articulate on the page. Don’t overthink it. You can always edit later.
Take a break (15 min). Just give your brain and eyes an opportunity to rest a little bit.
Proofread (30 min). Go through and read your essay out loud twice, editing if you see any errors. There is psychological proof that you catch more typos when you read your work out loud, so don’t shortcut it.
Congratulations! You have completed writing your paper.
