Ever wondered how much do famous YouTubers make? The Sun has just published the earnings of famous YouTubers, and turns out PewDiePie earns a whopping £6.5million per month! The Typical Student team learned more about the earnings of other YouTube stars, take a look!
Who Earns The Most On YouTube?
Felix Kjellberg, also known as PewDiePie earns his living "through a mix of merchandise sales and ad revenue on YouTube," the Sun reports. Felix's annual income equals £78.9million, as proved by the numbers crunched by brand merchandise experts at Purple Moon Promo.
The Purple Moon Promo spokesperson commented as follows:
"We decided to have a look and find out who are the 20 YouTubers earning the most from selling products and from ads."
The second person on the list is Dude Perfect (£2.8million a month), an American trick shooter. He's followed by VanossGaming (£2.2million), a video gamer from Canada.
The top 10 list also includes two YouTubers from the UK: DanTDM (£2.1million), English video gamer, and jacksepticeye (£1.4million), Irish vlogger.
The list was put together using a Sellfly "YouTube money calculator" tool that estimates someone's ad revenue by counting their monthly views with YouTube's average ad payout (between 20p and £3.29 per 1,000 views).
How Much Does PewDiePie Earn?
PewDiePie rightfully tops the list with his nearly a 100million following. He earns his monthly revenue of £5.6million selling branded t-shirts, hats and other merchandise that can be found on his personal website. Apart from this, Felix makes about £935,263 from ads shown over his YouTube videos. All in all, this brings his monthly revenue to an estimated £6.5million, or £78.9million per year.
Over the time of its existence, PewDiePie's channel has got more than 13 billion video views, which put him on "The World’s 100 Most Influential People" list by Time magazine.
