The Typical Student team keeps sharing student real-life experiences. American college students Anna and Eugene are studying under the Peak Program at the University of Tokyo and here’s what they have to say about their academic life.
What is the Peak Program?
The University of Tokyo started the Peak Program several years ago and, basically, it is an English-language studying program for the international students. Anna and Eugene say that this particular program perfectly suited them because they wanted to in English study abroad.
How to Get Into the University of Tokyo?
Anna claims that the application process for the University of Tokyo is pretty much the same as for any of U.S. colleges. The only additional thing you have to do in order to get into this school is applying for Peak Program.
Curriculum
According to Eugene and Anna, for the first two years at the junior division they study general courses such as math or history and the rest two years of the senior division are dedicated to their major.
Campus
The campus of the University of Tokyo is rather big and includes a lot of buildings such as Komaba Center, where most of the international classes are held. Anna says that she spends most of her time in the Komaba Center, because her classes take place there and there is a lot of facilities for students such as cafeteria and studying areas.
